I’ve literally racked my brain trying to find even one supplier of skin creams,lotions etc. at truly wholesale prices and can’t find even one.What’s the secret?
Well of course I’m prepared to buy in quantity.
But not pallets.So maybe distributors is what I meant.Still haven’t been able to
turn up a one.where does one look?On the internet?In the yellow pages?Have been looking since April.
Wholesale purchases require wholesale quantities. How many pallets of product are you ready to take on a monthly basis?
Most manufacturers will direct you to distributors that sell case quantities, as manufacturers can’t be bothered with even case quantities.
i was thinking for night i would use either sea breeze,avalon organics,aveeno night cream or nuetragena night cream. which one??
I love aveeno. I had oily skin as well, and I love what aveeno has done to my face. The skin is so soft! I use aveeno products during the day as well. I discovered them last year, after trying all kinds of different moisturizers. I do realize everyone’s skin is different though. Make sure you’re also drinking a boat load of water every day, to help get rid of your acne. I can almost guarantee that will work wonders if you break out often.
What is a good homemade moisturizer recipe for natural hair to use everyday?
For example:
MotownGirl’s Leave-In Conditioner
1 – 8 oz. pump bottle
1 c conditioner
1/8 c oil ( avocado , coconut or olive oil )
1 tbs vegetable glycerin
1 tbs Silk Peptide Powder (optional, but will make you hair VERY soft)
Fragrance Oil for scent (optional). Here are some examples you could use: apple, vanilla, pina colada, strawberry , or even mango !
Essential oils are definately needed for recipe!
Dont go out and buy anything expensive.
First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)
Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)
Third: Here’s the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a “little” honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)
Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,…. a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short
Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften & remove all frizz I promise,….. and it will be super shiny!!!!
The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower
You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences “clean happy” conditioner.
When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo & condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years
You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ’s health corner.

I’ve tried Jergens gradual tanner & didn’t like it. It smells bad & I didn’t like the color. PLEASE don’t tell me that I can tan. I’m 31 & I have never had a tan unless it was fake. I don’t have enough skin pigments to tan. I’m not going to complain because my skin shows that I haven’t damaged it by the sun & tanning bed. People think about 25! Who wouldn’t love that!?!

I don’t use the sunless tanner because I am very dark but I do know over 10 people who use the avon and love it. There tans look natural too…. no streaks, no stains, no orange
When I went to get a massage last week, the girl confirmed what I already knew – that I have extremely dry skin, particularly on my arms and legs.
She recommended that I exfoliate regularly, and that I buy a professional moisturizer. She cautioned me from buying the typical drug-store moisturizers, because according to her, they are filled with cheap synthetics and such which end up drying your skin out even more, and not really helping the problem.
My question is to anyone who specializes in dermatology and skin conditions… is she right, or is she just trying to upsell me the more expensive lotions? If I bought your regular Jergins kind of moisturizer, is it really not as good as if I bought an expensive salon-quality kind? Is she just trying to make a sale, or is it true?

I think that she’s trying to make a sale. I think there’s more truth to the fact that more companies overcharge for ingredients that are present in miniscule amounts in creams, or ingredients that either have no benefit or cause irritation. The best things to look for in a moisturizer is fragrance free (not unscented, which can mean more chemicals used to mask a fragrance), and determining which texture of moisturizer is pleasing to you. Two of the best moisturizers, often recommended by dermatologists and used in hospital, are Complex 15 and Keri Lotion (original or fast absorbing). The application is when your skin is slightly damp, after a warm (not too hot) bath or shower. That way the moisturizer can also force that water to absorb into the skin, and prevent moisture in the skin from evaporating too much.
I just don’t worry about that stuff, but I should start taking care of my skin before I start getting wrinkles and stuff. Plus, I am always stressed and I know this could be bad for your skin.
I’m a female in my early 20s and I don’t have acne. My skin is not really oily or dry, and I hardly ever wear much makeup. All I do is wash my face with water and soap, and I use neutrogena visibly even moisturizer (SPF30). I use astringent at least a few days a week too at night. Do you think this is good enough?
Well, if it is working for your skin, then you are fine. I just have different skin and I have major acne, so I have to do something different with my skin. I use an acne cleanser and I use Clearasil acne cream. I also use a moisturizer when I don’t have a break out. Though, I wouldn’t personally recommend using soap because that dries skin out. I would use a face wash. Good luck.
I got an Anti-Wrinkle cream as a GWP (gift with purchase) I started using it since I got it for free and I noticed it’s the best moisturizer I’ve tried – Lancome High Resolution with Fibrelastine (intense recovery anti wrinkle cream SPF 15). But since it’s an Anti-Wrinkle cream I was wondering if it can damage my skin if I use it as a regular mouisturizer?
It certainly won’t hurt you or damage your skin. The two active ingredients, Fibrelastine and D-Contraxol+, are not the most effective anti-agers anyway. I’m 21 and don’t have wrinkles but sometimes use a cream with retinol because it has been proven to be the best at collagen regrowth (undoing damage) and hence preventing wrinkles. The only downer that I come across with retinol is that it can dry out my skin. If the Lancome High Resolution moisturizes well then keep using it by all means. My only concern is the sunscreen in this product does not include UVA-protecting ingredients, and these rays will damage your skin.
Does anyone use this? my mom got it for me since I said I wanted to go to a store to look for jojoba and sweet almond oil. I’m not happy that she bought me some products without me looking at them first (to make sure that I know what is in them and if I know any of the ingredients and if they will clog my pores) but I will give this one a try since the almond oil she bought isn’t really something that’s okay to use on the face. Has anyone with combo/oily and acne prone skin that is sensitive used this before?
Yes, I’ve used it for about two years and I really like it. My skin is a combo as well. It’s not sensitive though. I like the way it feels when it dries because it doesn’t leave my skin feeling oily.

I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Daily Scrub, Biore Triple Action Astringent, & Aveeno Clear Complexion daily moisturizer all 2x a day
1) absolutely! there are companies that will tell you it’s “scientifically proven” that your diet has no effect on it, but remember, they’re trying to sell their product and will tell you whatever to make you feel like you need it.
2) Eat healthy, try not to stress, wash your face at least 2 times daily, and a facial now and then never hurt
3) Exercise is good for you and your face is absolutely not disconnected from the rest of you; exercise is always good.

11) Just having water run down your face in the shower is NOT ‘washing your face’, you should properly wash your face, probably over the sink.

It definitely does minimize the effect.The best thing to do is to put the moisturizer on afterwards.
Like you put the Retin-A on, let that soak in for 15-20 mins and then you can put your moisturizer on. That is what my dermatologist had me do, I think its pretty standard instructions if you want to use moisturizer at the same time? That was actually a little too harsh for my skin so my doc said I could mix the two together like 1/2 and 1/2 and that was better in terms of irritation and also the retin-a seemed more effective than it was when I put the moisturizer on first by itself.
My skin is super oily so before I even walk out the door in the morning my face is shiney. I have tried Clinique and Lancome foundations that are designed for oily skin but they don’t work, I also use shine control facial cleaner and moisturizer and they don’t work! Does anyone know of a liquid foundation that will control my oily skin all day?
If you need light coverage, there is a great water based product from M.A.C., can’t remember the name, but it costs’ about 30 bucks and it’s in tube. For moderate to full coverage, they have a powder foundation, I believe it’s call Studio Fix and they also have awesome blot powder that will soak up oil and not lay down more color….also, use a face primer (Photo Finish by Smashbox) over your moisturizer…it helps prevent the oils in your skin mixing with the foundation……I have horribly oily skin and this has worked for me with the warmer weather…I stay shine free until at least 530 using this method…I also use Pro-Active, three step system and the Clarify night cream and the eye serum at night….my skin is so wonderful now, I can’t believe it…..

My husband never complain about doing errand or anything that has to do with his son. The only thing he complains about most of the time is doing household chores, he hated them! Most men do complain about doing errand, chores or anything that involves them moving off the couch. I don’t know what your SO does for a living but maybe he was just tired and felt like resting. I totally understand when my husband who is a driver just wants to walk to the store (10 min) away walking. If it is not due to being tired than I would suggest telling him that he needs to do his part in this relationship that is not just you. Trust me if he is like this now he will get worst as time goes by wanting you to do everything. These are just a few suggestions no stranger on here know your relationship better than you.

this was my old routine
1. cleanse with garnier fresh cleanser
2. moisturize with garnier fresh moisturizer
-this didnt do much for me. it really did nothing.
so i switched to this:
1. cleanse with Clean&Clear foaming facial cleanser for sensitive skin
2. moisturize with Clean&Clear shine control moisurizer.
-Will i see a difference?? is this a good routine!

How is your skin feeling now? Did it itch or breakout soon after use or did it look and feel better?
Sometimes our skin protests because the products are really strong to dry up the oil, but hey your skin just doesn’t require that much cleansing and the “ph” gets out of balance then you end up with dry patches and/or acne. Usually on the chin and forehead.
Use a natural product scrub – don’t rub too hard and rinse well. I think you can get a small sample size of most products in Superdrug or well stocked chemists. This will allow you to experiment and may save your face and your purse!
Oatmeal scrub is good so is vitamin A and E, these are very good for healing damaged skin. Use the “Simple” brand. It has the bare basics for cleansing and the moisturizer has a sun block too. I applied the lotion 3 times a day on first use. My skin has looked better since using it( mine is sensitive and dry). I never ever use toner, just water.
No one or product can give you flawless skin. If you take care of your skin and eat fruit and veg (yawn!) or drink smoothies, you may end up with perfect skin. Don’t be fooled by the ads, airbrushing doesn’t happen to real skin just the photographed ones on the models with their well applied make up! I think good habits and good genes have a lot to do with it too.

Their are moisturizers that contain sunscreen, but they are labeled as moisturizer spf “Insert number here.”
You apply them to your skin and rub them in. You may or may not get a tan depending on the sun exposure and level of SPF. I love it! I like to add a little baking soda to the face wash–it acts as a very gentle exfoliate, and gives it that extra bit of oomph since I have acne-prone skin. But they are both very, very gentle, many of my friends use these products to introduce their young daughters to a proper skin-care routine. (I actually use the off-brand, most of the time, too–it’s usually half the price, and works just as well.)
I have a sunscreen Elta md skincare 45 and it’s got zinc-oxide 9%.
i bought it when i had my light chemical peel along with a moisturizer

No, you would want to use a seperate moisturizer. There are a TON of moisturizers with an SPF in it. Try Dermolica. They have an Age Smart line that has an SPF of 30 in it. it is wonderful!

I could suggest two things. First, I am a marketer and my wife owns a small, upscale beauty salon. We have done all sorts of things to help her build her business. Eventually, the thing that has made her business the huge success that it is… is quality of work and lack of banter. Notoriously, beauty salons are a “hen house” if you will of gossiping. She has outwardly stopped any tiny hint of that, and her clients feel relaxed when they are there and have only good reports to others. This, along with the top notch quality of her work, has her scheduling in Dec now and she has turned down requests to schedule in Jan (that is about 3.5 months out). The other thing is that if you are going to do acne treatments, you will have adolescents as your primary demographic group for that treatment. That is fine, but remember when you are running ad or making material… the adolescents won’t be paying… their parents will. If you want to sell that service to teenagers, which you will have to, make the material something that is also appealing to the parents. Good Luck!
