People are quick enough to bang on about how beauty is only skin deep, and it’s what is inside that counts, and all the rest of it. And yet, strangely, people seem to spend a huge amount of time (not to mention money) on presenting themselves as well as they can to the world around them. The fashion industry is a monster and you only have to flick through a magazine or watch the one-eyed monster to see how important beauty products are.
If what is inside really is the biggie, why does anybody care what they look like?
So, are you beautiful on the inside or on the outside, both or neither?
I was looking through one of those magazines yesterday and found myself a bit jealous of a beautiful girl I found in there. She was stunning! She was also 18 and I am now 35. I reminded myself that although I am far from ugly now, I was also in my prime at about 18 and that I could now easily be that girls mother. I had my CUTE days. And to tell you the truth, when I was that age I wasn’t at all happy. I was totally miserable. I like being in my skin now much more then I did then even though this skin is older. Why? because I feel smarter, wiser. I like the person I have become. Back then I didn’t know who I was. I was introverted, confused and couldn’t connect to people. Now I can feel a connection to just about anyone. All that stuff has nothing to do with LOOKS.
Also I have fallen for men who I thought were gorgeous in the beginning only to end up finding them ugly later (because of their personality).
All in all, I try to keep well groomed and showered. But my outward appearance isn’t all that important to me. I feel sexy because I know I am a good decent person.
Reactionary rash on my face, how can I get rid of it?
I have this bumpy, a little bit itchy rash in basically a beard pattern on my cheeks, chin and a little past my jawline down my neck. It’s not horribly noticeable, my skin just looks ruddy and a little red.
My theory is that I began using a new face moisturizer with Alpha Hydroxy Acid in it, where on the label it specifically says to wear sunscreen if going into the sun. So the day before yesterday when I went for a run, I put plenty of sunscreen on my face. The next day this rash broke out and it is still here today.
I have been gently cleansing my skin only once a day because I don’t want to make it angry, and also slathering it in Hydrocortisone cream. I don’t know what else to do and I’d like to make it go away as fast as possible. Help please!!
It sounds as if you are having an allergic reaction to either the moisturizer or the sunscreen. So, until the rash goes away, don’t apply either one to your face. As far as treatment goes, you are already on the correct one. (There are stronger topical cortisone products available, but they are not safe to use on the face, so stay with what you’re using.). It might take up to a week before you get much better, but better to be safe (and slow) than the reverse.
Once your eruption has gone, then use either the moisturizer or the sunscreen again (in just a small, dime sized area) on the face, and see if you can make the eruption recur. You need to find out which of the two suspects is the actual culprit, and avoid it in the future.
Can some one recommend a good anti-wrinkle eye cream?
Since I have some acne scarring, I am lucky I don’t have signs of aging on top of it, but in my mid 30s, I need to start prevention….
I need a good eye cream , anti-wrinkle, and dark circles, which is effective, but not too greasy for the rest of my skin.
Can anyone recommend a good, effective product?

Is the AMERICAN ACADEMY OF ANTI-AGING THE BEST SOURCE for real AGING INTERVENTION INFORMATION??
see their site at www.worldhealth.net… they represent 18,000 physicians and scientists from 89 countries worldwide.
there is no such thing as anti-aging, from the moment we are born we age. if you want information about counter-acting the effects of aging then do your searches, but bear in mind chemical and medical ‘treatments’ all give way to age.
I ran across this link in a skin care article today and the company sounds impressive and the products interesting. Anyone have any comments or reviews?

Thanks!
I love this line. It’s slightly more pricey than junk you get at the dollar store but it lasts longer and is better for you and the planet.
They make their products only using really high quality materials and the processes they use are old-fashioned but environmentally and body health friendly.
Like the scents, they scent their products with. Natural. Not fake scents but actually essential oils. This is particularly important if you have kids, infants because the use of artificial colors and scents can really be harmful cumulatively to the body.
