Ladies, could you give me instructions on how to provide extra coverage with foundation?

I have a red spot under my nose and above my upper lip from a horrid waxing job that is basically a thin layer of skin torn off. So, I have to do my best to cover it up tomorrow. It’s about a little less than 1 inch and extra extra red. I’m a bit tan in my skin color and I have something called miracle cover, but its 1 shade lighter than my skin color so I’m afraid its going to be uneven.

I have:
Dream Matte Mousse
Cashmere Perfect
Bare Minerals (just a sample of the powder)
Almay Perfect Powder
And some cake like foundation
tinted moisturizer
and some other oil free foundation (thin)

Im also thinking about using the miracle cover as a base and using my foundation that matches my skin color on top… but wouldn’t that look too noticeable?

Please help! Important meeting tomorrow and trouble with this horrid makeup trouble!

Use a liquid foundation. Apply it with a makeup sponge.
Preferably triangle shaped. Apply a thin layer on your whole face and neck so that it looks even and use one shade darker than your original skin color.

thoughts on organic wear tinted moisturizer by physicians formula?

I didn’t like it because like hard candys tinted moisturizer it oxidized and separated becoming unusable.

Unfortunately there are no decent drugstore tinted moisturizers so I just stick to light coverage foundations with spf from revlon or almay.

What types of cosmetics are you interested in?

I just started my Mary Kay Business and I have to order inventory. So I am interested in what the average girl would be interested in buying. Would you truly buy Satin Lips? How about Satin Hands? What types of foundation are you into: liquid, powder (loose or pressed), or mineral powder (loose or pressed)? What lip colors look good? Which ones don’t? Are you interested more in the TimeWise anti-aging skincare or in a basic skin care regimen with cleanser, toner, mask, and moisturizer? Would it affect your decision if you found out that it is good to start an anti-aging product by the time your 22 to combat aging before it starts to happen? I think that I would buy satin lips if it wasn’t so expensive, probably satin hands, too. I’m interested in a loose translucent powder that makes a matte, natural look. I’ve been looking for one for a really long time. I’ve also looked for a brown, nude color for lip gloss that is relatively thick so you can actually see the color. tinted moisturizer, light acne scars?

i used to have bad acne scars on both sides of my face,
i’d need to use concealer, liquid foundation, and and a pressed powder over it.
horribly cakey, but it was necessary :/
now i’m using something for the scars and they’ve faded away so much!
now they’re light, still noticeable without makeup but still sooo much better!
would using a tinted moisturizer be okay? would it even out my skin tone?
i’m only 14 and i hate using so much makeup

A tinted moisturizer would be great but you can add a small amount
of Concealer on the acne scars so they disappear in no time.

First moisturizer, then sunscreen. Massage yourself till most of the moisturizer is absorbed before using the sunscreen.
Baby sunscreen is fine ! In most cases even better… since babies are more sensitive, baby sunscreen often protects better than one for adults. They also use not as much perfumes and such, lowering the chance of having an irritated skin !

And… next time you buy sunscreen: look for “moisturizing sunscreen”.

Tips for a skin care regime? ?

So I’m in my early 20′s, all i have done since i was 10 is wash my face in the morning and at night with clean and clear foaming facial cleanse. Now that I’m older my mother us trying very hard to get me to use more products and to start using anti aging cream. I am not sure if i want to start using such products but i do know i should start taking better care of my skin i do have sun damage makeup i rarely use foundation only blush and mascara so i guess that hurts my skin i would appreciate tips and recommendations, and which brands are the best, thanks.

The best anti-aging cream is sunscreen. Use it every day! At your age, that’s really all you need.

what moisturizer or primer do you use before you apply mineral makeup?

I’m using Everyday Minerals but I’m having problems with a chalky appearance….it’s not that bad but I’d like it to look lighter. I use Clean and Clear oil-free moisturizer (because I have acne-prone skin) but I don’t know if my powder really likes this moisturizer.

What are all the products you use BEFORE you put on your mineral powder? like toner, moisturizer… and tell me your skin type!!

smashbox photofinish primer works best in my opinion,

A cheap daily facial moisturiser containing SPF + Vitamins A & E?

I’ve been watching Oprah, again!
Dr Oz suggests that the best anti-aging skincare (for the face) is a moisturiser that contains an SPF + Vitamins A & E.
He says you can pick up cheap ones pretty much anywhere.
I live in Australia, can anyone suggest a cheap supermarket moisturiser that contains these components?

Is it okay to use mineral oil/petrolatum containing products sparingly if you use a water-based moisturizer?

If you use a good water based moisturizer,would it be okay to use a product that contained mineral oil or petrolatum to seal in the moisture? I hear mixed things about these ingredients, but unfortunately they’re found in numerous products. The products that I’m referring to have “good” ingredients as well and have nourishing components. It’s okay to use them. Luster’s Pink Oil has mineral oil, but it works great for hair. I use it everyday & my hair has never been better.

Can I use a different moisturizer with Proactive?

I’ve been using proactive for about three years now and I noticed that my skin has become very dry.I use the spf 15 moisturizer that comes with the proactive, but it does not work at all.I apply it and seconds later my skin is really dry again.I don’t know what to do because Proactive clears my pimples up, occasionally I get breakouts, but Proactive has pretty much been the only thing that has worked for me.My face is constantly dry and my makeup looks horrible, I have very sensitive skin so when my mouth and areas around my mouth get dry I get blisters.I cannot deal with is anymore and I was wondering if anyone could help me out on a good moisturizer that I can use while still using proactive.I read that Clinique thirst moisturizer is good, but is it dermatologist recommended?I don’t want my face to break out, but I need to get the dryness under control.thanks

I know you said Proactive is the only thing that works for you, but have you tried the AcneFree (severe) kit? Their moisturizer works wonders. I have combination oily/dry skin and the moisturizer helps keep my skin in between oily and dry. I also was only seeing good results with Proactive after trying many things, but AcneFree works just as well, if not better, than proactive. The kit is about $20.00-$30.00.

You can buy AcneFree almost anywhere (walmart, rite-aid, cvs, etc.).

Is aloe vera gel okay as a nightly moisturizer?

I am 23, normal skin. Only issues are slightly large pores and blackheads on my nose.

my eyes feel stingy whenever i apply lotion on my face, any recommendation for other moisturizer?

No, i don’t apply the lotion on/in my eye, even if i am applying around my mouth,nose area my eyes would get red, stingy and i would sometime start to sneeze.

as you have seen the pattern i have been using moisturizer that are 4 sensitive skin but they don’t help at all, but make my eyes teary.

I have also used Clean&Clear’ s moisturizer and they dont work my skin either.

you should try Olay sensitive cream it the best Ive used it very gentle on sensitive skin it doesn’t sting as other harsh moisturizer Iv experiment the same as you but this moisturizer is so so good it has aloe vera for nice soothing feeling you find at Target or walmart store .

What acne/facial cleanser do you guys use?

Hey guys so I don’t have super bad acne, like I probably get 1-2 pimples every 3 months, but I just ran out of my Clinique 3-Step skincare, and I don’t know if there is any products that work better (cuz that one works pretty good) or if I should just get more of my clinique.

I think that if the Clinique products are working, then stay with them! I really love the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel and Lotion from Clinique because it gives you soft, smooth skin w/out being oily. I also love Cliniques Instant Facial Turnaround Masque because it makes your skin soooooooo soft and silky! Try working those two products in with the 3 step program. Good luck!

all keep on saying that olay is good brand but it didnt work on my skin.specially dont use the toner of olay…its not good.
a very very effective face wash is cetaphil….its soo very mild that will make ur skin soo soft.u can find it in any medical store also.in case of toner i too have oily skin and i use nivea toner after using a lot of toners atlast it worked on my skin.
it has little alchohol……but its soo mild that it will not at all dry ur face instead will maintain ur ph balance that take the extra oil.
at last u need a oil free moisturizer…..i use venesua. i dont no where u can find it.u can better use oil free cream
