“Neurtogena Anti-Acne Oil free moisturizer? has anyone tried this?
i just purchised it cause i have some acne and i’ve been using Benzoil Peroxide 10% gel for 2 weeks and it has made my acne alot better but it’s also dryied it like never before so i was recommended buying a moisturizer to treat the dryness therefore i bought the neutrogena oil free anti acne moisturizer which contains 2% silycid acid, now is this going to be too much for my skin since i’m also using the Benzoil Peroxide 10% gel? the thing is i only use the Benzoil P. on some acne spots i dont apply it as a lotion to all of my face. what do you think is this too much or not?
It really depends on your skin type. I use both on my skin and it works perfectly fine. The moisturizer obviously won’t dry out your face because its a moisturizer haha. And it’ll fix the dryness the gel leaves your skin with. Its most likely not too much, unless you have sensitive skin.
I’m only 22 and I’ve noticed that i’m getting wrinkles under my eyes!!! I have sensitive skin, and I need to find something that will be safe for my eyes. Any suggestions?

1. Cleanse Face with cold water.
2. apply moisturizer to my face and set
3. Put a light beige eyeshadow on my eyelids.
4. Then, on top of that, I mix a light golden with a mild pink and apply to the outer corners of my eyes,
5. Then, take a darker silver and apply a little bit of that on my fingertip. Then I gently rub it all over my eyelids. Making sure it’s not too light and not too dark. Blend with a blending brush.
6. Curl lashes and apply one coat of my favorite mascara. Then, on the second coat, I apply a water proof mascara.
7. Apply a brown eyeliner. Make it thicker on the outer bottom parts of my eye and thinner on the inner bottome parts of my eye.
8. Last, I apply a little bit of moisturizer again. Then a light flavorful lip gloss.
I like your routine. I use clinique too! It helps me alot!^_^
Would using a regular lotion like CeraVe help future aging?
Tina, I cannot recommend that brand CeraVe since I have never used it. I’m not a dermatologist, but I don’t have to be, since my skin is smooth. This is what I’ve been using for the past 3 yrs; Preve by Isabella Pelle. It’s made specifically for fine lines/wrinkles plus has the highest concentration of the best moisturizer known to date; hyaluronic acid.
Last year they came out with a concentrated version called Cura. I got it this past February. It’s even better. Hope this helps you.

Hello everyone. My name is Iris and I am 23 and unfortunately I was a smoker for quite some time fact which really damaged my skin. My skin type was dry but because I have tried numerous brands of lotions and moisturizers I kind of…confused my skin. Now it`s dry but in the same time a bit oilywith open pores..and sometimes it`s itchy and red. I have been doing some research on the internet, after spending tons of cash on cosmetics and now I am even more confused. I cant find anywhere a review or an advice which doesn’t look like an advert. Even the chemists I asked weren`t too helpful. I decided to stick with two brands: Vichy and Clinique. But which is best? I would not recommend either. You are paying more for the name. The best product that I have used and I have used them all has been BeautiControl. Their products are made to compete with dermatologist not cosmetic companies. They are very affordable. I started using 5 years ago. Within a week I could tell a difference in my skin. I saw a commercial for this skin care product, and basically you visit their website and you take an acne/skin test. They say that they have over 40 products and they will match you their top 3 for your test results and you can buy the products and they’re supposed to get rid of your acne and make your skin healthier.
It also told you some of the questions they ask and some of them are “how sensitive is your skin?” and “how bad is your acne?”

Last night, I experiemented with hair care products. Instead of using shampoo and conditioner, I used FAROUK Biosilk Silk Therapy (left it in my wet hair), TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Extra Extra Straight Hair Straightener Spray (left it in my damp hair), TIGI Bed Head Shine Junkie in a Can (left it in my damp hair), and TIGI Bed Head After-Party Smoothing Cream (in the morning when my hair was dry). So I used 3 leave-in conditioners and 1 hairspray.
My thick, coarse, wavy, frizzy, fly-away hair is now beautiful! It’s frizz, fly-aways, and tangles have completely disappeared! So this got me wondering:
Is it really necessary to use shampoo and conditioner?
I know the answer is going to be yes, but I also heard that shampoo is bad for your hair?

Well, I read an article about this exact topic not too long ago. Maybe a couple months ago.
Basically it said that we as Americans wash our hair Way Too Much.
Cleanliness, with the help of Shampoo’s, Deodorants, Perfumes, and Etc, is crammed into our heads and we buy into it.
Like we’re literally throwing our money away. And don’t realize how unnecessary it all is.

Like one person said, we need shampoo, because it does remove all the dirt, grease, and natural build up from our hair.
“However”, There are many factors that determine how often you should wash your hair.
For example, say there’s two women.
Both have shoulder length hair, except one woman has very fine straight hair, compared to the other woman who is the complete opposite. Her hair is thick curly and coarse.
Fine hair tends to build up natural oils faster than coarser hair types. That’s the woman with very fine hair, would need to wash her hair, with Shampoo everyday, otherwise it would look greasy and stringy. But the woman with Coarse hair, wouldn’t. Some women with coarser hair types wait up to two weeks before shampooing their hair again because they just don’t produce those natural oils.

I wash it about every other week with Shampoo.
I’m part Black, part white, and part Asian.

So it took me awhile to get a routine that worked for me.
&&I’m about to be Seventeen.
So that’s like 16 years of my life where I had just Wild Hair. =P
But in between washes I’ll rinse my hair and maybe use conditioner, it’s just dependent on my mood.

What is a good moisturizer to use with clean and clear facial cleanser?
I use Clean and Clear foaming facial cleanser for sensitive skin and I really like it, but I want to find a sensitive skin moisturizer to go along with it, preferably by Clean and Clear so I can stay with the same product company. I use Clean and Clear and I have the same problem. I just found a product that Clean and Clear makes called the Oil-Free Dual Action Moisturizer. salicylic acid products DO NOT seem to work for me. WHY ? Ive used proactiv with ok results but not good enough. and 10% benzo perox. dries me out too much. have you seen a dermatologist? i had terrible acne a couple of years ago and tried just about everything possible. i am allergic to benzoyl peroxide which is one of the best things to cure acne. my doctor recommended YAZ a birth control pill which cleared my face up in a couple of months. you cant even tell i had acne. the next step from there would have been acutane which is the strongest medication possible… it gets rid of acne, scarring and prevents it from ever coming back. hope this helps!

Aloe Vera is meant to soak into the skin, and hydrate it. People use it when they get sunburns, or when they get razor rash.

**I had a hypersensitive, fair skin in my early teens. My skin was dry and severely flaking, had severe sun damage, discolorations, blotches, large pores, many blackheads and whiteheads, pimples and scars. I found cause was mainly harsh soaps and also shampoos that gave me severe flaking scalp and harmed facial skin. I switched to hair and face washing with a mild natural bar soap with no additives, no colorings, no fragrances and healing started. Healing was very much hastened by vigorous massaging with essential oils. To do vigorously first tighten face by opening mouth 3/4″ and pulling lips firmly back against teeth. Do a forward and back massage with tips and front and sides of fingers and palms, depending where on face applying. Circular massage is not effective. Gradually build up to vigorous as skin has to adjust. Initially face and hands may ache but also quickly adjust. If do a daily 30 min massage(can be in two or more sessions) you will get dramatic results. In first few days blackheads, whiteheads and pores will vanish or greatly diminish. Skin will quickly become smoother, softer, tighter and look and feel revitalized and develop a healthy glow. Keep it up and It will become totally blemish free. Oils are perfect moisturizers so do not remove. Lightly wash off excess with water and dab dry with tissues.
Treatment also cured skin hyper sensitivity.
We are always being told that high spf sunscreens are bad for skin. After massaging with oil, apply sunscreen on top of oil. The oil acts as a barrier. Surprisingly it is equally if not more effective. I often spend many hours a day in blistering Mexican sun with just one application of spf 15 and never burn.
OILS: I had great results with olive. Best for some acne prone skins are lavender, rosewood, bergamot. They do not clog, cause breakouts and they lessen skin’s production of oils. They are strong and need diluting 25/75 or 50/50 with grapeseed, almond or olive oil.

I’ve been on the look for a good tinted moisturizer but am on a tight budget so I’m looking for good drugstore tinted moisturizers. I have very sensitive skin, I break out easily and I’m allergic to some ingredient in chapstick. (I’ve also tried a foundation with the same ingredient in it that made me break out, but i dont know what it is) I’ve previously tried Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Enhancer and even though it is dermatologist test I broke out regardless. A really good tinted moisturiser is Nivea Visage Young Tinted Cream. It only costs about $7, so its not very expensive and you can find it at any drugstore or supermarket.
But if you break out easily, then i dont think you should use a moisturiser EVERYDAY. From what you said, it sounds like you have combination skin & are quite prone to breakouts.
So Id recommend you use a cleanser daily in the mornings, which will make your skin less oily and help with those pimples. And then instead of useing a tinted moisturiser to cover up your flaws. Apply a mattifying gel first & then use a mineral powder foundation.
The mattifying gel is abit like a moisturizer but it is oil-free, so itll also help prevent pimples. And Mineral Powder Fondation is a great way to cover up imperfections but its also really good for your skin, and unlike alot of other foundations it doesnt clog pores & doesnt cause breakouts.
First: St.Ives apricot scrub. Second: Olay Complete Moisturizer. Third: Roc eye cream for dark circles. Fourth: Biore pore strips every two weeks. Details: my skin is really breakout prone and easily dried out. I’ve tried the basic Neutrogena cleansers and they don’t seem to do much. Oh and I’m 13 years old. Any suggestions or reviews would be extremely helpful!

Aging is a natural process, I am well aware of that. I am 24, in great shape, and I’d like to remain “youthful,” while aging isn’t exclusively in wrinkles (i.e. facial parts (nose for example) continue to grow), I want to take anti-aging steps to at least delay the process.
I drink a LOT of water, and I ALWAYS wear sunblock, but any other specific tips?

-Proper nutrition
-A daily vitamin (which helps collagen production)
-Retin -A, preferably with some kind of blender/lotion to dilute each night. This will control wrinkles and acne. There is a cosmetically pleasing formulation of retin a (tretinoin is the generic name) called Renova. You can see a derm and ask for a prescription, but it will cost a little. No more than some of the over the counter treatments, though. At your age, you probably won’t be covered for the prescription even if you say it’s for acne… so you have to be willing to spend the money.
By the way, I see a dermatologist 1x per year for the past few years to get Titan laser treatment on my face and neck. It promotes new collagen growth, which slows dramatically after 35 – I’m 38 and often get mistaken for being in my 20′s.
