hi..my mom told me that if i eat more citrus fruits like grapefruit..my skin would get healthier. thus reducing the chances of getting ginormous pimples. i was wondering if this is true? and how do you actually get nice flawless skin without proactive? i use acne free it seems to be working..py face is gettin better.. but still skin care tips would be appreciated lots! thanks!
The best thing you should do is stop eating oily foods, or eat traditional Chinese cooking, because long ago, China did not have a lot of oil, so the Chinese used it sparingly, such as stir fry instead of plain old frying.

I use Dandelion sap to dry up spots.
Wash face each morning with a clinique cleanser and a plastic wash pouf, then rinse thoroughly, shave with a good razor, then wipe my face with a cotton ball soaked in toner (either with witch hazel or hydrogen peroxide not sure which one to use), then I use a non-comedogenic moisturizer.

I don’t know about all those vitamins — really, I’d run that routine by a doctor b/c it looks like a LOT. Especially since you’re on Accutane.
As for the facial routine; the absolute best combo I’ve found for myself and my daughters is to use a scrub with salicylic acid and follow with a lotion containing benzoyl peroxide. Neutrogena has a good kit to get started, but we bumped up to a 10% bp lotion when we finished the bottle in the box.
Is there a common bond in all facial medicines because everything that i’ve tried causes a bad reaction?
I’ve tried everything from neutrogena and clean and clear to mary kay and sea breeze. After a couple weeks my face clears up but the acne is replaced by horrible dark splotches that crack, itch, burn and eventually feel scally. Even extra moisturizers burn the dry spots. …including stuff for sensitive skin. What is going on ’cause I can’t be allergic to every facial regiment out there!
Maybe you need an oral med like tetricyclene. I take that and it really has helped. I also use neutrogena’s benzoperoxide which is strong but good.

That foundation in canada doesn’t have the anti aging in the title. But anyways, your never to young to start protecting your skin from aging, and wrinkles.
Seeing the title im pretty sure it should give you a dewy look, but i know for sure that SUPER MOISTURE MAKE UP foundation gives a very dewy finish since i did use it for a bit.
But yeah I don’t think you would have any problem using anti aging foundation, or that one. It should give you a dewy look and if it doesnt just return it, they have a really good return policy.

yea those are cool they really don’t have chemicals…but u need to check with your doctor for any acne products and facials are okay as well as long as it’s not a body wrap which uses too much heat.hope this helps and congrats!

I’ve read a lot of good reviews about the classic nivea creme in a blue round can. it’s the secret of young looking old ladies in UK (they even called it “fountain of youth”). It can be greasy on skin but i swear it works well on moisturizing the skin. Believe it or not, i also have oily skin but when i started using it, it was able to balance my skin oil production. I only put it everynight though.
I am by no means new to makeup or using primer.. but I was thinking about how you use a moisturizer, then your primer, and then your foundation when you are applying.. but what about when you are using a tinted moisturizer? can you still use the primer?
It just seems like the primer should be in the middle of the moisturizer and the color but the tinted moisturizer has those put together.. I think primer first and then the tinted moisturizer would ruin the primer.
Has anyone had any experience with this?
If you put a primer on before tinted moisturizer, it’s not going to ruin the primer, but the tinted moisturizer might not be as moisturizing because primer makes a barrier between the skin and foundation. So if your primer is sort of moisturizing then you should be fine because it’ll just keep your tinted moisturizer in place. Good luck!
How can I get clear, radiant, dewy skin? My skin type is combination and I usually wash my face every night and exfoliate every now and again. I use a very simple moisturizer and I use treatments on my pimples before I go to bed.

1. Wash your face with cold water when you get up and before you go to bed.
2. Exfoliate every other day (everyday might be too much, especially if you have sensitive skin).
3. Use moisturizer before you go to bed.
4. Keep your hair away from your face and try not to touch your face too often (it makes it oily).
5. Don’t eat fatty foods too often (they make your skin really oily too).
6. Drink LOTS of water, it helps a lot.

Moisturizing My Hair While Wearing Two Strand Twist – Short and Simple
Sulfate and Paraben free shampoo, that doesn’t leave hair feeling greasy?
I’ve decided to change my skincare/hair care to organic products. It’s been easy regarding skincare but hair care seems to be a battle. I’m using a leave in conditioner by ‘say yes to cucumber’ which I absolutely love! On the Shampoo side of things I’m finding it difficult. I just recently tried some of my mum’s ‘Sukin Organics Shampoo’ which is an Australian brand and I have found that it’s left my hair incredibly greasy and flat. Because these products are sulfate free they don’t lather or bubble up therefore rubbing it all over your head seems impossible so I’m unsure whether I’ve put too much in and haven’t rinsed properly or if this is just how hair is when all your natural oils aren’t stripped.
Are all organic shampoos like this?
An ORGANIC label on a shampoo does not make it ORGANIC (sadly). Many times it means it is just like any other shampoo with chemicals and they decide to put an organic oil in it. This oil would be the only thing organic about it. I had the same problem as you with organic and so called organic shampoo. It took me 6 years to find Aubrey Organics. It is the only one that has ever worked for me. Something to remember is, if your hair is use to a lot of products(hairspray, gel,etc):It may need to go through a period of detox time. So if you give it one time and get a bad result, it is because your hair is not use to something quite like it. Need to give it some time. I used Morrocco Methods for months(did not work for me), so the transition to Aubrey was a good one. I use a green tea shampoo. I use very little(like the size of a dime) on very thick hair and I only shampoo it once. I then condition with their Honeysuckle rose conditioner. I again only use a very small amount. The first couple times i used the conditioner it seemed like it would not rinse out. It really does not matter, because it can also be used as a leave in. I also like to use a very tiny amount of the conditioner as a face wash. Makes my skin so soft!
I checked out the Sukin shampoo you were talking about. This product has Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Decyl Glucoside, PEG-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate. These are all chemicals they put in place of the parabens and SLS’s, so they can so they are free of them.
I find it cheaper to use acne free. But I love the green tea moisturizer and the refining mask. Is it OK to use with acne free?

If your a girl jsut get on birth control. i had the worst achne for a long time n tried everything till i got on birth control. it takes like 3 months to kick in and ull still get a small pimple here and there but nothing big

You should buy one of those facial cleansers that help make your face less oily. My friend is using one and it actually works. I think it might be Neutrogena, but I’m not sure.

Health benefits of silica and fish oil supplements?
My friend recommended silica and cod liver oil supplements to help clear up my complexion, and make my skin more even toned (I always do natural treatments, never chemical filled goop from the drugstore). I have never had acne before (I’m 20), but all of a sudden, it’s come up for no reason, and I’d like for it to quickly go away.
But anyways, while researching on the internet, I found that silica and cod liver oil have other health benefits too, like anti-aging properties and help with concentration. Does anyone have any personal experiences with other benefits from either of the supplement they’d like to share? Also, about how long until I start noticing a difference (I know it won’t happen overnight, but I’ve heard of supplements working within weeks, and others that take months)????

Fish oils do have some health benefits. They are rich in Omega fatty acids. Useful when taken internally only though.

a) It will probably say some thing like “wash off formula” or “wash off” so i would test my applying it on the back of your hand and try washing it off

For 2 years, I was using clindamycin and differin on my face, but my acne got more severe recently, so I went to my dermatologist for new prescriptions. I’m now taking Solodyn pills in the morning and another topical cream at night (I forgot the name, but it begins with Al…).
I’ve only been using these prescriptions for a few days. I think my acne is getting better, but my face has gotten DRASTICALLY dryer. I’ve always used a moisturizer with spf 30 (it’s by Neutrogena) in the morning and a night moisturizer (Clinique’s dramatically different moisturizer). I also use a scrub (Peach and Willowbark scrub by Burt’s Bees) several times a week. Recently I’ve been using the scrub every day and using a bit more of these moisturizer’s, but my skin is still very dry. I have white flakes all over my face that are falling off. What can I do to keep my skin more moisturized and not stopping using my prescriptions?
Most of the products you’re using are good ones–except for the scrub, which I think is the problem. The Burt’s Bees Peach/Willowbark scrub has a lot of borax, an ingredient that has a drying effect on skin due to its alkaline pH. (Skin has a natural acidic mantle as a barrier against the environment.)
I understand your need to exfoliate, but I would switch to a gentler scrub like Neutrogena Pore Refining Scrub, or a leave-on BHA exfoliant like Neutrogena Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 hydrating treatment. And I would back off to once or twice a week; Dr Leslie Baumann says if you’re using a retinoid, don’t exfoliate more than once a week.

I recently got a new moisturizer to remove acne scars with the following key ingredients Emblica Fruit Extract, Mulberry Extract, Cucumber Extract. I noticed my face would be a bit red and itchy every now and then, and later my face became dry like sand paper with dark scabs of skin flaking off? My skin got better but it’s happening again right in the same places I apply the moisturizer, and haven’t been using any other product. I just know it’s the moisturizer. Which airbrush foundation is best for an olive skin tone?
My husband got me an airbrush make up kit. I have used spray foundation by ERA that comes in its own dispenser and have determined that my perfect color would be halfway between Y5 and Y7 (if only they made a Y6). I now would like to purchase foundation that I can use in my new airbrush machine. I need the yellow undertones and am slightly tanned. I don’t care if the foundation is water, alcohol, or silicone base. I don’t mind mixing two shades of foundation, but don’t want to take a base and have to mix the yellow/greens in every time to get the right undertones. I can’t use Temptu foundations with my machine. Please answer if you know of a specific brand that can get me a color between ERA Y5 and Y7.
