best moisturizers for aging skin
Skin care at 20 — what is the best way to promote HEALTHY SKIN AGING of the face and body?

I’m 20, and I’ve taken the first steps to better skin care by using a foundation (when I wear make-up) with an SPF of 19.

I also cleanse my skin with Neutrogena products for acne prone skin, although I don’t have acne anymore it keeps my skin under control.

Is there anything else I can do NOW to prevent premature aging and wrinkles later on? What about anti-wrinkle creams, or other moisturizers?

Any opinions on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Keep your skin hydrated, avoid long periods in the sun and/or use a good SPF, and avoid products that contain mineral oil. One great way to keep your skin healthy is to keep it hydrated. This means applying a moisturizer, preferably one with an SPF. Research has shown that an SPF higher then 8 is too harsh for the skin on a daily basis. However, if you plan to be out in the sun for a long period of time, of course apply a higher SPF. You’ll want to stay away from products that contain mineral oil as the molecular structure is too large for the pores of your skin, just coating the top layer and getting wiped off over time, giving you little to no benefit. Mineral oil is actually the #2 cause of aging with the sun being #1. If you have any questions or would like to learn anything further, I would be happy to help you.

Road kill, carcinogens and crude oil in your skin care products!
